Energy efficiency 'should not be a struggle'
Homeowners in the UK should not find becoming more energy efficient "a struggle", according to the Fair Investment Company.
The body, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), has advised customers to consider switching their energy supplier if they can find a greener, more environmentally-friendly alternative.
Discussing Energy Saving Week, Fair Investment Company director David Doulton said there were "a number of things" people can do to save energy in their homes.
He explained: "Being energy efficient shouldn't be a struggle. There are a number of things that people can do to save energy in their homes such as ensuring that they don't leave electrical appliances on standby, or installing good insulation and draught proofing their windows and doors."
Organised by the Energy Saving Trust, Energy Saving Week has been running from Monday and finishes on October 28th.
It has been organised to encourage households and businesses alike to embrace a greener approach to their energy usage.
